How do I become a VA?
The VA industry is growing rapidly within the UK and many people are thinking about joining the sector. However, there is more to becoming a VA than being able to type and having your own computer/laptop and PC.
Many people contact me to ask about becoming a VA and I am now in the process of producing an exciting and innovative new product for prospective VAs which will also be useful to anyone setting up a new business. You can find out more by visiting my new website Virtual Business in a Box. I am also about to produce a guide about how I set up my business - how I did it and what I have done over the last three years to gain, and retain, clients. It will also include a number of resources (business plan template, financial and contract templates) and links to point people in the right direction.
You can download a preview of my guide by clicking the logo to the left. It is currently still being written and will be for sale sometime on August.
I will also be looking into setting up some short workshops in 'How to set up as a VA' in Devon and Cornwall – if you are interested please use the contact me form to discuss. In the meantime, I am happy to schedule a one-hour session to discuss how you can become a VA and the resources/links you can access to help set up (as time is precious, there will be a small charge for this).
The VA industry is a great sector to be in, but like all small businesses, it takes hard work to achieve success, it is not a get rich quick business and takes time and dedication to find, sign up and retain clients.
